One lucky winner takes home DAV raffled rifle

BONNERS FERRY —- Jim Chase is the lucky winner of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 28 gun raffle.
Chase posed with Commander Mike Spurgeon at Far North Outfitters with the 65 Grendel rifle after the gun was transferred to Chase. Upon asking how many raffle tickets he purchased, Chase admitted with a smile “only one.”
Spurgeon told the Bonners Ferry Herald that the DAV planned to announce the winner on Veteran’s Day, but since they had reached their goal of selling 1,000 raffle tickets the drawing was held earlier.
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3622 Commander Ben Apo thanked Chase for his support.
There are other ongoing gun raffles with the DAV, American Legion and the VFW.
