PORTHILL — This is the last weekend to attend Santa’s Village at Jake’s Landing.

For the third year, Jake’s Landing has transformed into the North Pole with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and a handful of elves serving customers.

The community is invited to come see Santa Claus, make arts and crafts or sit in on a story time with Mrs. Claus. They also can pick up an activity card and complete fun activities and get a chance to spin the wheel at Santa’s Fun Shoppe.

Since COVID-19 and the change in hours at the Porthill border crossing, business has drastically slowed for Jake’s Landing. Boundary County businesses are coming together to support Jake’s Landing and Santa’s Village.

“Jake’s Landing was the hardest hit business in the county,” Carey said.

He said the Jacobson family always come forward to help others and this is a great opportunity to show what Boundary County is all about.

“This is our Hallmark moment,” he said.

To pick up $5 off coupons for any purchases at Jake’s Landing stop by ERA Shelman Realty, Century 21 Four Seasons Realty, Michael Wold — State Farm Insurance Agent or Bonners Ferry Vet Clinic. There is no limit to how many $5 off purchase tickets a family can pick up.

Santa’s Village will be open Friday, Dec. 16 and Saturday, Dec. 17 from 1-7 p.m., offering all kinds of holiday activities.
