NBVFD announces raffle winners

| December 22, 2022 1:00 AM

NORTH BENCH — The North Bench Volunteer Fire District drew its annual fundraising raffle and announced the winners at its November Board of Directors meeting.

The lucky winners are: Bill Ament winner of the ArmaLite 15 style rifle and Bob Riddle winner a pallet of choice pellets or logs from North Idaho Energy.

NBVFD officials thanked all the volunteers that helped with the fundraiser, including making baked goods for the table at Super 1 and all the people that helped with the booths. Also thanks to North Idaho Energy Logs for donating the pallet of energy logs or pellets, businesses that donated items and all the many people who supported the raffle by purchasing raffle tickets and donating to the district.

Every fire district in Boundary County needs volunteers and cannot run without the help of neighbors stepping up and volunteering, Boundary County Fire Officials wrote. Like most firefighters, volunteers do much more than just take down fires: they also respond to vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, rescues and much more.
