BONNERS FERRY — The ham and turkey drive between the Boundary County Middle School and Bonners Ferry High School raised a total of 143 hams and turkeys.

The middle school just barely won the contest again this year raising 72 turkey and hams to the high school’s 71.

The hams and turkeys along with the food from the food drive will go directly to families in Boundary County. The food stuff will also count toward the Backwoods Brawl competition against Timberlake High School in January.

Kelly Hinthorn, BCMS Leadership teacher said she is proud of both schools and all the food brought in to help families in the community this holiday season. A thank you to all the students and staff at both schools, and to the Rotary and Xi Beta Omicron for their generous donations.
