Bonners Ferry’s first “Father and Son” banquet was a huge success at the I.O.O.F. Hall. Over 250 men and boys attended the affair carried out by the Boundary Co. Boy Scouts. The women of the Union Church Ladies Aid served the meal.

The Boundary Co. Fair Association was held on Saturday with F.A. Shultis, George Irving, and L.N. Brown being re-elected to the board. Plans to construct a quarter mile race track on the grounds were discussed. The expense should not amount to more than $500.

Prosecuting Attorney Jim Lyons stated this morning that two juvenile males were apprehended by city police Wednesday at Valley View in possession of marijuana.

Of special interest in a Corps of Engineers news release, received here yesterday, was that construction of Libby Dam is 64 percent complete with pool rising to spillway crest level scheduled for May 1972.

Mt. Hall fourth graders had fun touring the post office and newspaper shop last Friday morning.

Sean McCoy, owner of McCoy’s Home Interiors, recently took to the skies for the first time by himself.

Four G’s Partners, the owners of Good Grief Grill, have once again helped the community through donating a one half acre parcel to the Hall Mountain Fire Association.

Jennifer Putnam was selected by the National Soccer Coaches Association as Idaho Girl State Player of the Year 2006. In addition, Katrina Wastl was selected to the 2006 High School Girls All Far-West Team.
