This stoneware water jug was donated to the museum in 2018 from the Jackie Wilson estate. It stands 13 inches tall, has a diameter of 9 inches, and weighs 12 pounds empty. These water jugs were used by crews working for the Great Northern Railway Company.
The Great Northern Railway brought permanent changes and new settlers to Boundary County. Attracted by virgin timber and rich farmland, many homesteaders came in rented box cars filled with their animals, farming equipment, and household goods. James J. Hill's railway was completed through Bonners Ferry in 1892.
