10 Badgers place top three at Clearwater classic

LEWISTON — After winning Intermountain League dual competitions, the next day the Badgers went to the two-day Clearwater Classic and finished eighth out of 15 teams with 10 Badgers placing.
The girls were able to wrestle in multiple weight classes resulting in Savannah Richter (15-1) to come in first for the girls in the 160-182 division. For the 182G division, she placed fourth. Gena Kelsey (3-5) placed first for 138-145G division. Aubrey Wells (0-2) placed second for 145G division and placed third for 160-182G division. Shaylynn Richards (8-6) placed 3rd for the 106-113G division. Adelaide Heigel (2-10) placed fifth for the 120G division.
For the boys, Brandon Williams (19-9) placed first at the 98 division. In second place were Dillion McLeish (1-1), Logan Thorne (2-1) and Eli Richards (26-3). Jackson Richter (14-4) placed third.
