BONNERS FERRY — A Bonners Ferry man was sentenced to two to five years in jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture or deliver. The sentence follows a plea deal in the case.

Miguel A. Vazquez-Estrada, 26, was discovered with 22 “Mexi-pills” or fentanyl pills during a routine parole visit at his residence on Jan. 12.

Due to taking a plea deal, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use and persistent violation have been dropped.
