BONNERS FERRY — The Boundary County Park and Recreation Senior Walk Club, now known as the Riverside Ramblers, is gaining traction thanks to a solid core group of walkers and new members coming in stride.

Parks and Recreation Sports Manager Nancy Schaffer said people can still join.

“You don’t need to register unless you want a T-shirt. A lot of the regular walkers are planning on keeping it going after the originally-intended end date,” she said.

The walking club has walkers of varying speeds.

“Some of us do two to three laps around the park, while others do only one,” she said. “You could also do a shorter loop and while nobody is currently bringing a dog, they certainly could as long as it was leashed.”

The club meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings at 7 p.m. at Riverside Park.
