Second Harvest food distribution July 22
Second Harvest Inland Empire will return to Bonners Ferry with their free food distribution on Friday, July 22. The distributions are scheduled drive-through events at the Boundary County Fairgrounds.
Cars will enter at the east end of the fairgrounds and exit at the west end. The distribution is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., or while supplies last. There will be groceries including perishable food for up to 250 families. All who desire help with their food needs are welcome. There are no identification or residence requirements.
Each food truck is partially paid by grants found by Second Harvest and by local donors. This truck is being sponsored by Bonners Ferry Veterinary Clinic and Thrivent Financial. There will not be a truck in August. The September truck will be on Sept. 23.
Last month, 270 families were served more than 16,000 pounds of food.
