BCSA cultivating community

BONNERS FERRY — The Skate and Music Showcase on Saturday was family-packed fun despite the scorching heat.

Presented by the Boundary County Skatepark Alliance, local band King Friday kept the bass line slapping and the skaters and bikers kept trying out tricks for everyone to see. Community members congregated and met neighbors new and well-known.

BCSA is cultivating a community climate centered around the skatepark and family. At the next event, bring a blanket or a lawn chair, sunscreen and come ready to meet people, like we used to.

For more information on BCSA, visit the Boundary County Parks and Rec Facebook page. For more information about BCSA, or to join the BCSA “team” server via the “Discord” APP, contact Nancy Schaffer, Parks and Recreation sports director, at 208-304-3603, or by email at bcpark_rec@yahoo.com.
