BONNERS FERRY — The city of Bonners Ferry is still working on the budget for fiscal year 2023 to balance inflation.

Lisa Ailport, city administrator, said the draft budget has a 5 percent increase across utilities and it is proposed to have minimal capital investments and improvements across the city next year.

She said for now the plan is to wait a year before starting on new projects, but the budget is still not yet finalized.

There is a tentative meeting with department heads and city council on Tuesday, July 26 at 4 p.m.
