Boys Badger basketball off to 2022 state: What to expect

BONNERS FERRY — Badgers boys varsity basketball will compete in the state championship at Meridian High School March 3-5.

After a 15-year drought, this is the second year in a row that Badgers boys basketball is going to state.

The Badgers are the No. 8 seed and will play the No. 1 seed Marsh Valley in the first game at noon today. The winner of the game will continue on to game seven on Friday at 5 p.m. to play the winner of the Fruitland versus Kimberly game.

The loser will play on Friday at noon against the loser of Fruitland and Kimberly, and work their way through the consolation bracket.

The Badgers are overall 13-8 and finished 5-2 in the Intermountain league.

Marsh Valley is 19-2 overall and finished 4-0 in the South East Idaho league.
