SAR accepting grant applications

| March 3, 2022 1:00 AM

The Selkirk Association of Realtors is accepting grant applications for grant awards to be given in June. Applications for funding this year must be received at the association office no later than April 15.

Each year, SAR gives thousands of dollars to local groups in need of funding for their community service-oriented projects and programs in Bonner and Boundary counties. Last year, the organization awarded more than $15,500 locally to individuals and groups in Bonner and Boundary counties. The Selkirk Association of Realtors is a nonprofit organization whose membership consists of Realtors, appraisers, banks, title companies and other businesses affiliated with the real estate profession. Grant funds are raised among its members only, not from the general public, through the association’s annual fundraising efforts.

To obtain a grant application, contact the association office at 208-265-2227, go online to selkirkaor.com, email association executive Stephanie Rief at stephanie@selkirkaor.com, or stop by the association’s office, 325 S. Marion Ave., Sandpoint. To qualify for a grant, groups or organizations must work primarily for the benefit of Bonner County or Boundary County residents and benefit a large group of people as opposed to an individual. Projects that relate to housing issues are strongly encouraged. Groups in all cities and/or areas of Bonner and Boundary counties are encouraged to seek funding for their projects or issues.
