Second Harvest food distribution set

Second Harvest Inland Empire is returning to Bonners Ferry for a free food distribution event on Friday.

The drive-through event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boundary County Fairgrounds. Cars will enter at the east end of the fairgrounds and exit at the west end.

There will be groceries, including perishable food, for up to 250 families. All are welcome and there are no identification or residence requirements.

Second Harvest works with food producers, wholesalers and retailers to gather food to a Spokane warehouse where it is trucked to people throughout the Inland Empire.
