BONNERS FERRY — Boundary County Sheriff's Cpl. Mike Valenzuela and his K9 partner, Buddy, visited Valley View Elementary third-graders this week.
The school kids were just reading a book named “Aero and Officer Mike” and wanted to see if the sheriff’s office K9 would come and visit them, Mrs. Hoisington said.
The children were given a demonstration of what Buddy can do and had an opportunity to meet him.
“The drug K9 team is a great resource for our county," BCSO said.
Buddy’s handler Valenzuela is also a drug recognition expert and both he and Buddy have been called out and used to assist other agencies.
