Dane W. Dogherra
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dane Dogherra.
Dane was born Feb. 10, 1967, in New London, Conn., and he grew up in Santa Cruz, Calif. He passed away Feb. 26, 2022.
Dane graduated in 1986 and enlisted in the Army, serving three years, including one year in Korea. He owned Doghera’s Towing in Santa Cruz until 2015 when he and his wife Karla moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Dane loved his life here on his property. He loved his animals, and helping neighbors. His favorite place to pray and reflect was the “lookout” near his home.
Dane had several jobs in the past seven years: a DJ at Jack’s bar, Napa Auto Parts, selling tamales with Karla, and most recently as bookkeeper at Clyde’s Towing in Ponderay.
Dane is survived by his wife, Karla Dogherra (el amor de su vida); six children, Kassandra, Wesley, Zachery, Christy, Perla and Madelyn; three grandchildren; his mother, Kay Bejarana of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; and a sister, Susan Winton of Colorado.
A service will be held at a later date.
Gone too soon. We love you!
