26th annual Awana Grand Prix revs up the fun
BONNERS FERRY — All that was missing at Grace Bible Fellowship Church was the revving of engines and the smell of burning rubber on Saturday, March 19 when GBF along with Springs of Living Water Free Methodist Awana clubbers took time out from reciting Bible verses, playing fast-action games, and participating in Bible-based council-time lessons to race their hand-crafted pinewood creations.
This year’s winners for beginner design were Ari Snyder, first place; Finley Kizanis, second place; and Gianna Merrifield, third place.
Advanced design winners were Adelynn Merrifield, first place; Ethan Miller, second place; and Ethan Heicksen, third place.
Winners in the speed division were Logan Craig, first place; Finley Kizanis, second place; and Lindy Teele, third place.
