Badger track takes 8th and 10th at Lewiston Invitational

LEWISTON — At the first meet of the season, the Bonners Ferry Badgers girls track team took 8th and the boys team claimed 10th with several runners and jumpers placing in the top 10.

The girls came in the top five for the 800m, 100m hurdles, shot put, discus, high jump, long jump and triple jump.

Asha Abubakari took first in shot put, fifth in discus, third in long jump and fifth in triple jump. Camille Ussher came fourth in the 800m with a time of 2.37.19. Mai Blackmore finished fifth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 18.80.

In the 4X200 relay, the girls finished sixth and in the 4X400m relay they finished seventh.

Badgers boys results

1600m state champion Charles Henslee came in fourth in the mile long race with a time of 4.37.93. Connor Alexander came in fifth at the 3200m with a time of 10.27.60. Badger 4X100m Throwers Relay had a great showing taking first with a time of 51.74, just beating Kamiah by 0.01 seconds. Braeden Blackmore took 3rd at the High Jump at 5’ 6.
