BCH Auxiliary raised over $2,000 for BCH at pie sale
BONNERS FERRY — The Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary raised over $2,000 at their pie sale on March 17.
Auxiliary members have had a very busy year, this year alone they provided equipment for the hospital, Danielle Larsson, BCH community relations and marketing director, said. Department managers put requests into the auxiliary based off needs and the Auxiliary finds amazing ways to fundraise and provide them, Larsson said.
This year, the community came together to support the Auxiliary by donating 145 pies and raising well over $2,000 in support of the hospital.
Among the purchases made by the Auxiliary for the hospital are a large standing scale, a shower wheelchair to assist patients unable to stand in the shower on their own, a newborn resuscitator to help medical staff assist newborns in distress and unable to breath on their own, gasping or have a weak heartbeat; Occupational therapy items, which will be used to help children with sensory processing difficulties, a whole vibration plate, a sensory mat module set, learning resources “super sorting” items; a Bosu sport balance trainer for use in physical therapy, a hemi-walker, trekking poles, and a children’s walker.
The Auxiliary is always looking for new members to join. They meet once a month for lunch and discuss fun activities to put on to help the hospital. Call 208-267-6912 for more information.
