Lois Louise Frazier, 80

Lois Louise Frazier, 80, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, passed away March 16, 2022, at the Boundary County Restorium. Born Jan. 11, 1942, in Princeton, Minn., to John and Laurene Boehm, her family moved in 1946 to Hope, Idaho, and then to Clark Fork, Idaho.

In high school, she was Prom Queen, selected to Girls State, and graduated as valedictorian in 1960. She then went on to Kinman Business University in Spokane, Wash., where she broke all the speed records for typing and short-hand as she earned her associate's degree.

After graduating Kinman, Lois worked for the University of Idaho Agricultural Department, where she met her husband-to-be H.C. Studer. They were married in late 1962 and ended up moving to Virginia and California while H.C. was in the Marine Corps, and then moved to Canada for a few years.

Eventually, the family settled on a farm in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, in 1970. While being a mom to three kids, Lois worked at Panhandle Health District and for Farm Bureau Insurance. She then worked as a deputy clerk at the city of Bonners Ferry, and retired there after 17 years. Lois’s second husband was Bruce Frazier. After Bruce’s passing, she retired and moved to Post Falls where she met Del Knox, and worked at Kootenai County Elections. She eventually settled back in Bonners Ferry at the Restorium.

Lois was a member of the Lutheran Church, Pythian Sisters, Royal Neighbors and Beta Sigma Phi. She loved knitting, fishing, floral/crafts and assembling puzzles.

Lois is survived by her children, Lanore Riebli (Gary Crivello) of Sebastopol, Calif., Daren (Kim) Studer of Bonners Ferry and Duane (Grace) Studer of Hauser, Idaho; sister Shirley Whitaker; brother Don Boehm (Bonnie); six grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Laurene; brother Alan; sister Beverly; her second husband, Bruce Frazier; and son-in-law Steve Riebli.

A memorial service and inurnment will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Grandview Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Bonners Ferry. Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at the Boundary County Fairgrounds food booth (Valley Event Center) after the graveside service.
