Carol Dillin

Carol Dillin passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, with family by her side.

Carol was born on August 31, 1937, in Bonners Ferry to Edward and Mary Alice Houck.

Carol grew up with her older brother Edward on the family farm north of Copeland. She was one of the first students to attend Mt. Hall School. As a young girl she loved her horse Pepper. Throughout her life she had several horses and enjoyed riding and being with them. She also played the piano.

She graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1956 and married Bradley Dillin on June 3, 1956. They had three sons. During her lifetime she worked as a secretary at Mt. Hall School and Bonners Ferry High School. She worked as a certified nursing assistant for over 20 years at Boundary Community Hospital.

She enjoyed her family, family vacations, gardening, yardwork, golfing and putting up Christmas decorations and lights for all to see. Carol and Brad were frequent Sunday diners at Chic-n-Chop.

She was preceded in death by her parents; youngest son, Steven; and husband Bradley. She is survived by her brother, Edward and wife Marie; sisters-in-law, Helen and Vera; son, Dennis (Steve); son, Tim (Julie); grandchildren Ryan, Jeremy (Sarah), and Rachael (Brian); and great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Isaac, Brianna and Khepri; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Grandview Cemetery at 11 a.m.
