Celebrate National Trails Day with ITA

The nonprofit organization Idaho Trails Association is encouraging the public to get out and enjoy National Trails Day on June 4. ITA will be offering some fun ways to celebrate trails throughout Idaho.

ITA will be hosting four trail maintenance projects June 4, across the state and is looking for volunteers to help on the Mickinnick trail near Sandpoint. The crew will cut out logs blocking the path, do tread work, improve drainage and clear brush from the trail.

This beautiful trail gains 2,200 feet from the valley bottom to reach a viewpoint far above the city. No experience necessary to join. Visit www.idahotrailsassociation.org/projects to sign up.
