Three Badgers earn all-league volleyball honors

BONNERS FERRY — Three Bonners Ferry High School volleyball players have received all-league honors for the Intermountain League.
Badgers named to the list include: Helene Rae, sophomore and outside hitter; Asha Abubakari, junior and middle; and Emma Lucas, senior and setter.
Rae had 139 kills for the season, averaging 2.2 kills per set 0.244 hitting percentage.
Abubakari had 139 kills, 132 digs, 31 serving aces, 20 blocks for the season, averaging 2.2 kills per set, 2.1 digs per set and a .102 hitting percentage.
Lucas had 10 blocks, 39 serving aces, 112 digs and 353 assists for the season, averaging 1.8 digs and 0.6 aces per set.
For Timberlake, Linley Howard, junior and middle; and Maci Sandbank, sophomore and outside hitter, also received all-league honors.
Only five players in the IML received the honors this year, with league coaches voting for all-league players.
