The town board of trustees, at the advice of Dr. Fry and Dr. Bowell, who have had the city water analyzed twice in the past month by the State Bacteriologist at the University of Idaho, request that house holders, hotels, and restaurants boil all water before using it for drinking purposes.
At an adjourned meeting of the town board of trustees held Tuesday night, the contract for the building of city hall was awarded to Martin Estlund, a local contractor.
The first basketball game of the season will be played on the evening of November 24 at the high school gymnasium between boys’ and girls’ teams picked from the members of the Athenian and Olympian Literary Societies of Bonners Ferry High School.

A local lady, Mrs. Jim (Valdie) Burkholder, had some thoughts about prisoners of war and those missing in Vietnam action this week and announced she has some items that may be of interest to others that share her concerns. Mrs. Burkholder said she has P.O.W. bracelets, bumper stickers, pins, and literature available and most of the items are free.
Final touches are being completed on the new Bonners Ferry bypass this week in preparation for official dedication of the $2,551,000 structure next Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 28, starting at 1:00 p.m.
Members of the Merchant Committee of the Bonners Ferry Chamber of Commerce were notified over the weekend that Mrs. S. Claus would be traveling in this part of Idaho on Saturday. The merchant group then promptly decided to have a special movie for all youngsters of the county on that day so that it can be a big pre-Christmas day in Bonners Ferry.

The driver of a truck was reportedly treated and released from Boundary Community Hospital after his pickup rolled into Cow Creek at 4:30 pm Friday.
Two students on the Bonners Ferry Academic Decathlon won gold medals during a competition in Clark Fork. Honor student Taylor Dinning won his in science; honor student Ryan Skolnick took his for Civil War Super Quiz.
More than 100 attended Saturday night’s Holiday Fashion Show 2007 at the American Legion Hall in Bonners Ferry.
