Halt false conservatives' fictional narrative with vote for Bertling

| September 1, 2022 1:00 AM

Last week, I was encouraged to read that Tim Bertling is seeking a second term as a write-in Republican for District 2 County Commissioner.

I attended Valley View Elementary and proudly graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 2000. Our local educational system served me well as I earned degrees at both BYU and Idaho State University.

In the fall of 2020, my wife Cassie and I made the decision to return home so we could raise our children in a place that we both love.

The hometown that I’ve returned to is nearing a tipping point. Yes, I’m fed up with Biden, inflation and cancel culture but I’m equally concerned that many in our community have fallen into a trap set by fraudulent radical ideologues, posing as conservative Republicans, many of whom have only lived in our community for a matter of months. These people want us to believe that San Francisco liberals are running our local government, library and schools. Such lies pit neighbor against neighbor, destroying our civility along with 100-plus years of Boundary County values.

Simply put, their fictional narrative is revolutionary propaganda and must be stopped. This begins by re-electing Tim Bertling as Boundary County commissioner in District 2.
