Fioravanti is the person for the job

| September 15, 2022 1:00 AM

Steve Fioravanti is the person for county commissioner. He won by a majority of the vote. Period.

But others are quick to point out that the write-in candidate is like "Christmas in August, a third generation Boundary County resident, an avid bow hunter and fisherman …" That’s nice. Does that mean that since Steve does not bow hunt or is not third generation, that he’s not qualified? Not one bit. And what does this say about one’s accomplishments? Absolutely nothing. I know for a fact that he voted to accept the "free" government money (ARPA) with federal strings attached, but then that’s not something to brag about.

Someone else wrote that the incumbent must be reelected to stop the fictional narrative and revolutionary propaganda…, whatever that means. Again, that’s just talking points that say nothing about one’s qualifications or plans for this community.

Let’s talk facts instead of fluff. I get it that a lot of you like him because he’s a local boy, and it appears that you feel threatened by an "outsider" who has only been here 10 years, but what does that have to do with solving the problems we’re facing? Maybe someone else has some good ideas that would benefit this great community of ours.

Steve Fioravanti is easy to talk to, has spoken about his ideas. Why not give him a few minutes of your time to find out more?
