The Saunders and Nesbitts had a narrow escape in an auto accident while driving in Mr. Saunder’s car to Sandpoint last Sunday afternoon. A bolt connecting the steering gear dropped out on the road between Naples and McArthur and the car plunged off the grade. Luckily the accident happened at a point where there was only a slight grade. The car did not even turn over and none of the occupants were injured.
Tom Nicholson, one of the proprietors of the City Meat Market, and his daughter, Miss Irene, returned home Friday after an absence of several weeks, which were spent on a trip to England.
Mr. and Mrs. F.A. Shultis returned home today from a motor trip to Spokane and Moscow.

Lester Pinkerton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Pinkerton, received a broken arm when his motorbike was hit from the rear as he attempted a left turn on the South Hill Saturday.
There’s good news for Bonners Ferry golfers! Neil Walter will be going ahead with plans for the new golf course being planned for south of town.
“We have simply improved, are hitting harder, executed better, and stayed lower- and it paid off last Friday afternoon,” said BFHS Frosh coach Dave Gray when telling of the 30-0 thumping his team gave Wallace Frosh here.

The undefeated BFHS boys soccer team clinched the Intermountain League Title after defeating St. Maries 4-1 Friday.
