Bayer wins at Mirror Lake, boys take second

BONNERS FERRY — Braylyn Bayer had a great match to medal for the Badgers in a tri-match with Kellogg and Timberlake at Mirror Lake Golf Course.
Kellogg’s Stephen Paul notched the boys medalist honors with a 72.
Bayer shot an 81 for Bonners Ferry to earn the girls medalist honors.
Mia Blackmore took second for the girls and Eli Blackmore took second for the boys.
The Badger girls were down one golfer, Avery Bayer due to a broken finger.
Kellogg (boys) and Bonners Ferry (girls) won the team honors.
The Badger boys have seen much improvement since last year due to taking many strokes off their game. At districts, the boys had 468 and finished in fourth, versus on Tuesday they pulled 387 and took second to Kellogg.
