Bonners Ferry Wrestling Club April update

Bonners Ferry Wrestling Club hosted a freestyle/Greco wrestling tournament over the weekend with nearly 200 wrestlers competing from Montana, Washington and Idaho from ages 4-18.

BFWC members placed in the top three 35 times.

Kai Fusco placed third, Titan Richards placed second, Dalton Regehr placed first, Blake Nichols placed second, Nevaeh Therrien placed second, Austin Goodnight placed third, Saber Blackmore placed second, William Stindt placed second, Hunter Pope placed first, James Graves placed second, Aubree Graves placed third, Brandon Williams placed second, Shane Sherrill placed first, Alexander Taylor placed second, Eli Leyden's placed second, Genavieve Kelsey placed first, Savannah Rickter placed first and William Bomba placed third.

BFWC coaches thank the wrestling clubs that traveled to the tournament and to all the volunteers that came out to make it a success.

At the end of March, BFWC members traveled far and wide to compete.

Eva Willis (165) and Aubree Graves (125) competed for Team Idaho middle school girls team in Iowa at the Heartland National Duals. Both finished the tournament with six wins and five losses. The team finished in second place.

Only one girl per weight class from the state of Idaho qualified to compete at the national tournament.

Also in March, Idaho girls wrestling champion Neveah Therrian (107) took first at the Montana Open in Billings, Mont.
