Badger takes second at duals, Individual IML rankings

BONNERS FERRY —-Bonners Ferry and Timberlake Track and Field teams went head-to-head at the Intermountain League Duals on Friday.

Coeur d’Alene Charter, also a member of the IML, was not present at the event.

Both Timberlake teams ultimately won the track meet, but the Badgers put on a good show winning, placing in many events and being ranked in the top of the IML.

For the Badgers, senior Maggie Weaver won the high jump with a new personal record at 4-10. She is currently ranked first in the league.

Makena Baisden, a freshman, took second in the 200m at 29.87. Baisden is currently ranked second in the IML with a PR of 28.44 from the Bigfork Invitational. Baisden is also ranked #1 in the 400m for IML at a PR of 1:05.31 at the IML Duals.

Sydney Beckle took first in the 3200m. She ranked second in IML in the 3200m at 12:56.20, behind McKenna Kozeluh of CDA Charter at 11:03.42. Kozeluh ranked No.1 for Idaho 3A with this time, Beckle at sixth.

Badgers girls are ranked second in following relays: 4X100m, 4X200m, 4X400 and SMR.

Badger girls throws continue to take the top four places at meets and hold the top four places in league, with Asha Abubakari ranked first, Helene Rae in second, Hallie Hartman in third and Hana Hartman in fourth place.

At the state level, Abubakari is ranked first in 3A state in the shot put. Rae is ranked second and Hallie Hartman is ranked fourth.

In discus Abubakari is ranked second in the discus, with Jordyn Keam of American Falls, ranked in the top places at 122–2. Abubakari is the defending state champion of the shotput and discus for Idaho 3A.

In long jump, Abubakari is ranked first in IML at 16–3.75 after a PR in Pasco over the weekend. CDA Charter’s Cass Bouvet has previously led Abubakari by half an inch on Friday. Bouvet is also ranked first in the league in triple jump at 33–8.5, with Abubakari ranked second at 32–2.5.

In the 110m and 300m hurdles Riley Petesch is ranked third in the league.

Badgers boys are ranked second in following relays: 4X100m, 4X200m, 4X400 and SMR.

James Morgan, of Bonners Ferry is ranked fourth in the 400m at 58.46.

High jump: ranked second Riley Petesch 5–8,, three way tie for third at 5–6 Dylin Anderson, Logan Archibald and Aiden Beggerly.

Badger Pole Vaulter Gunnar Miller and Aiden Jacobson are tied for second at 10–00.

In long jump, Aiden Beggerly is ranked second at 20--0, only 00–5.5 behind first placed Caius Tebble from Timberlake. Fourth, Colin Fairchild.

Riley Petesch is ranked first in IML triple jump at 41—0. In comparison the No.1 ranked triple jumper in Idaho 3A is Porter Sutton of Marsh Valley at 45–3.

Teams Scores

Boys: 1, Timerberlake 113.66; 2, Bonners Ferry 31.33.

Girls: 1, Timberlake 87.5; 2, Bonners Ferry 58.5.
