Abubakari places in two events at Pasco

PASCO— Badger Track and Field Athlete, Asha Abubakari competed at the Pasco Invite on Saturday and placed in shot put and long jump against athletes from Washington Idaho schools across classifications.

Abubakari took third in the shot put at a mark of 38–06.25. In the long jump she made a new personal record at the mark of 16–03.75, just behind Washington 4A athlete, Madeline Storhoff of Kennedy Catholic at 16-10.00.

Abubakari took 15th in the discus at 108-00. In the triple jump, she finished 23rd at 31–10.00. Her season best in triple jump is 32–2.5.

Abubakari is the defending 3A state champion in the girls discus and shot put.
