Baseball on nine-game winning streak

BONNERS FERRY — Badgers pitchers Trey Bateman and Blake Rice earned a no hitter in game one against Lincoln County on April 25 to sweep the Lions in nonleague play.

Bateman pitched six innings throwing 73 pitches, with only one run against. He earned four strikeouts. Rice pitcher for one inning, earned three strikeouts.

The Badgers (13-6, 3-1) earned 10 runs to the Lions one. Elijah Dahl had 2 RBIs for Bonners. In game two, the Badgers won 6-3. The game was tied after the first inning with one run all until the fifth inning. In the sixth inning, the Badgers earned four runs, taking the win 6-3.

The Badgers play Kellogg at home on Friday in a double header at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

BONNERS FERRY — David Hammons struck out eight in the opener, and went 4 for 4 at the plate as the host Badgers went on to sweep the Spartans in nonleague play for Senior Night.

Brody Rice hit a two-run double in the fourth inning of the opener for Bonners Ferry (11-6).

Merrick Isenberger went 2 for 3 with two RBIs in the first game for Priest River (0-13).

In the second game, Elija Dahl, Brody Rice and Blake Rice combined on a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts for Bonners Ferry.

Bonners Ferry plays host to Lincoln County of Eureka, Mont., on Tuesday.

Priest River travels to Kellogg on Tuesday for a twinbill.
