Museum hosting free day
The community is invited to take a step back in time on Saturday, Aug. 5, as the Boundary County Museum offers a free day at the museum.
Admission will be paid by the Friends of the Museum.
Coming up later this month, the museum will host its historical cemetery tour, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 26, beginning at 1 p.m. This year, the “Cemetery on the Hill," also known as Grandview Cemetery has been chosen for the stories in stone experience.
Museum officials said there are many mysteries surrounding this old section of Grandview, and hope everyone will join them to learn more about the community’s past.
Located at 7229 Main St., Bonners Ferry, the museum offers a better look at the local history of Boundary County, from its early days to the present.
Open from May through August, the Boundary County Historical Society & Museum has a collection of more than 10,000 historic items.
