Clify fire expected to be out tomorrow
PARADISE VALLEY---- The Clifty fire is expected to be out by tomorrow, Public Information Officer for the Idaho Panhandle National Forest said.
Sunday night's thunderstorm caused the 1/4 acre fire is blazing on Mount Clift, located in the Idaho Panhandle National Forest in the Bonners Ferry Rangers District.
Firefighters started the initial attack on the fire around noon on Monday, Kary Maddox, PIO of Idaho Panhandle National Forest said. The fire remains at 1/4 acre. A fire line surrounds 100% of the fire with five staff on the fire.
Water will continually be flown into the remote area. At this time there is no smoke and the fire is projected to be out on Wednesday, Maddox said.
This summer there have been approximately 150 forest fires in the Idaho Panhandle.
