Excessive Heat Watch until Thursday

A Nixle alert announced an excessive heat watch for portion of the North Idaho, central Idaho and eastern Washington starting Monday morning to Thursday evening with temperatures ranging from 96 to 108 degrees expected.

Limited relief is expected at night with low temperatures in the mid 60s to low 70s. Multiple days of heat increases the risk of illnesses.

People acclimated to heat are also susceptible to heat related illness. Everyone should take precaution to avoid heat related illness.
