BONNERS FERRY — A proposed urban 62-acre subdivision is scheduled to go before Boundary County Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday. Called Poulton Pines, the subdivision would create 19 lots from two parcels adjacent to 822 Chokecherry Drive.

The parcels are located in the area of city impact for the city of Bonners Ferry. The residential zone designation requires the lots to be a minimum size of 2.5 acres where neither community water nor sewer are available. The proposed 19 lots are to range from 2.5 acres to 4.51 acres.

Private wells and septic/drainfield systems are proposed.

The public is invited to attend the meeting and provide testimony on where the proposed subdivision:

• meets the minimum lot size and zoning standards

• will have adequate public services

• is designed to reduce/eliminate adverse impacts to adjacent properties

• situated to avoid potentially hazardous or sensitive areas

• will have access sufficient to accommodate increases that might result from proposed land division

The time to provide written comments has passed.

The application for the subdivision is by the Billie and Patricia Poulton Family Trust.

The P&Z meeting will be held Thursday, Aug. 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the Boundary County Annex (former Armory Building), 6566 Main St.
