JRS Surveying wins Mirror Lake Men’s League team Championship

BONNERS FERRY — The Mirror Lake Men’s Golf League wrapped up their season this past weekend with the team and individual competitions.
The JRS Surveying team consisting of Travis Hinthorn, Ed Moe, Steve Nelson and Dick Staples won the 17-week league season narrowly over 7B's Joe Bopp, Ted Bricker, Haven Burton and Mike Rogers. The NW Paint team of Kevin Dirks, Kyle Dirks, John Driedger and Bruce Wickboldt claimed third place.
In this past Saturday's team net event, the Bag O' Nuts (Drew Hiatt, Chad Iacolucci, Scott Schopen and Jason Eulberg) claimed first place, while JRS Surveying finished second and Pluid & Sons Logging (Art High, Matt Pluid, Stan Pruitt and Danny Swift) finished third.
In the two-day individual competition, the winners were as follows:
A Flight — Gross: 1, Mitchell Vogl; 2, Joe Bopp; 3, Travis Blackmore.
A Flight — Net: 1, Steve Nelson; 2, Patrick Young; 3, Haven Burton.
B Flight — Gross: 1, Caleb Mullen; 2, Matt Pluid; 3, Carrick Remaley.
B Flight — Net: 1, Brion Poston; 2, Evan McNeley; 3, Jason Eulberg.
C Flight — Gross: 1, Tom Mayo; 2, Danny Swift; 3, Pat Murphy.
C Flight — Net: 1, Frank Plantz; 2, Art High; 3, Joey Villelli.
Players thanked staff members Ralph, Julie, Susan, Karen and Adina for the meals and service over the weekend and season.
