2nd BCH Festival of Trees

| December 7, 2023 1:00 AM

BONNERS FERRY — Boundary Community Hospital is delighted to announce the return of a new holiday tradition — the 2nd BCH Festival of Trees by Employees.

Building on the success of last year, this festival is a testament to our commitment to community, creativity and health care.

Last year, BCH introduced a unique tradition where our various departments eagerly participated in decorating their own trees. The objective is not only to spread festive cheer but also to engage in friendly competition, and spark creativity. The department with the tree that fetches the highest bid stands to win $1,000 from the Fry Healthcare Foundation, dedicated to equipment for their department.

Witness the Outpatient Lobby of Boundary Community Hospital transformed into a winter wonderland as our dedicated staff showcases their creativity through intricately decorated trees.

“The level of effort and attention to detail put into these displays is truly remarkable, showcasing the talent and dedication of our health care professionals,” said Danielle Larsson, BCH Marketing and Community Relations director.

The Festival of Trees is not just about aesthetics; it's a heartfelt initiative to support the Fry Healthcare Foundation in its mission to enhance Boundary Community Hospital’s capabilities. Funds raised from the festival contribute to essential health care needs, as exemplified by the recent purchase of new defibrillators for our emergency department.

How it works:

• Silent Auction: The festival features a silent auction open for bidding both in-person and online at https://www.facebook.com/groups/fryhealthecarefoundation. Bids are reconciled multiple times a day, ensuring active participation and the auction concludes sharply at 1 p.m. Dec. 15.

• Diverse Offerings: Each tree is a treasure trove of items, gift certificates and activities, offering attendees the opportunity to accomplish their Christmas shopping in a single, festive sweep.

Descriptions accompanying each tree provide insight into hidden gems, ensuring no delightful surprises are missed.

What’s Happening:

• Explore: Immerse yourself in the magic of beautifully decorated trees, either online or in person at the Outpatient Lobby.

• Bid: Participate in the Silent Auction, either online or in person, and support the health care initiatives of our community.
