PREP WRESTLING: Four Badgers win at M2 Mallet Invite
SPOKANE — Bonners Ferry High School wrestlers Neveah Therrien (105), Brandon Williams (126), Sofia Brown (130), and Eva Willis (190) walked away as champions at the M2 Mallet Invite held at Rogers High on Dec. 23.
The Badger girls wrestling team tied for third out of 28 teams. Team scores for the boys are not known.
For the boys, Saber Blackmore (126) took third and earned 22 points for the Badgers. Gaige Johnson (160) finished in sixth.
For the girls, six girls placed in the tournament. Aubree Graves (135) and Aubrey Wells (145) took second. Emma Roberts (155) took third place due to an injury.
Bonners Ferry girls tied with Omak, Wash.,) for third place, earning 104 points. Quincy won the tournament at 119.5. Sandpoint took fourth place with 84 points, 20 points behind the Badgers.
The Badgers will be back in action on Dec. 29 at St. Maries for the Chad E. Ross Tournament.
