Spirit of giving continues with turkey and ham competition

BONNERS FERRY — The Badgers' local tradition of giving before Christmas continued as local schools collected 168 hams and turkeys for local families.
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas break, middle school and high school students again entered a friendly contest to see who could collect the most turkeys and hams.
Boundary County middle schoolers won the annual turkey and ham competition over the Bonners Ferry High School, by bringing in 55 hams and 55 turkeys before the break.
