Two Badgers take first at Bonners Ferry tournament

BONNERS FERRY — Badgers Nevaeh Therrien (107) and Savannah Rickter (152) claimed their weight class titles at the Conrad Garner Invitational on Feb. 4, helping the Badger girls to a runner-up finish. Four Badgers placed across both the boys and girls teams.

Junior Lindsey Onstott (152) of Bonners Ferry took second place to Maddie Johnson of St. Maries. Badger girls took second at the girls tournament with 43 points, Lake City won with 45.

Bonners Ferry’s Brandon Williams (113, 12-4) took second to Boden Banta of South Fremont. Badger boys wrestling finished 10th with 50 points.

South Fremont won the boys tournament with 320 points.
