Chase named Bonners Ferry's DYW
BONNERS FERRY — Ana Chase was named the 2024 Bonners Ferry Distinguished Young Woman at the “Jurassic Quest” program on Saturday, April 29.
Chase also won the Spirit of DYW and Be Your Best Self. Braylyn Bayer and Chase won the Scholastics award. Braylyn Baye was also named first runner up.
Adeliade “Addy” Heigel won the Self Expression and Talent award, and Markynn Pluid won the Fitness award.
Chase will represent the community in the statewide DYW program and participate in Be Your Best Self Projects. In October, Chase along with other Idaho DYW representatives will travel to Idaho Falls where they spent one week learning routines in preparation for the state competition.
From there the DYW of Idaho will be decided and will go on to represent Idaho in the national program.
DYW of Bonners Ferry is part of a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership and talent in young women. Junior girls from Boundary County participate in the local program.
