DUI Task Force present over Mother's Day weekend

BOUNDARY COUNTY -----In conjunction with the Moyie Mud Bogs this Mother's Day Weekend, the North Idaho DUI Task Force will be conducting an operation in Bonners Ferry and Moyie Springs.

The North Idaho DUI Task Force, which is a multi-agency law enforcement coalition dedicated to saving lives on Idaho roadways through impaired driving education, awareness & enforcement.

"Our team will be out in force targeting drivers exhibiting impaired driving behaviors, and our aim is to be as visible and transparent with the community as possible about our mission in hopes of encouraging a shift good decision making before an impaired driver gets behind the wheel," Heather McDaniel, Office Services Supervisor for ISP District 1 wrote in a press release.

The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office and Bonners Ferry Police Department have also joined as official members of the Task Force earlier this year.

"Our team will be working more and more actively in the northern panhandle communities in hopes of changing and saving lives," McDaniel wrote.
