Cynthia Leigh Keifer, 65
It is with great sadness that the family of Cynthia (Cyndi) Keifer announces her passing on May 15, 2023, at the age 65.
Cyndi was born on Sept. 24, 1957, in Florence, Ore. She was the first child of Lee and Sharon Hargrove.
Cyndi grew up in Klamath Falls and Grants Pass, Ore. In high school, she met and dated the love of her life, Patrick. They were married in 1974 and soon after, their first son Michael was born. The new family moved to Livermore, Calif., in 1975 where they stayed for nearly 40 years. Cyndi brought another son, Brian, into the world in 1977.
Although Cyndi loved to be at home with her children, she decided to enter the job market. After trying her hand at a few different things, Cyndi found her career at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory where she worked for almost 25 years before retiring.
Sister Lori said Cyndi was smart, popular in school, athletic and outdoorsy. Brother Leland shared that Cyndi was a good mother and a strong advocate.
Cyndi enjoyed cycling, hunting, reading, traveling, gardening and church. A strong woman of faith, she drew on the strength and love of God.
Cyndi was preceded in death by her father, Lee. She will be forever remembered by her husband, Patrick; mother Sharon; sister Lori; brother Leland; son Michael and wife Jennifer; son Brian; and four grandchildren; as well as many other friends and family.
All are welcome to attend a visitation from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485 Harrison St., Bonners Ferry.
