Hope House fundraising for kid shoes

Boundary County Hope House fundraising to provide new shoes to children in Boundary County as part of the Back to School Bash, a free event for kids to get all the needed supplies to start the school year off right.

“Last year, we purchased 149 pairs of shoes at an average cost of $28 per pair. With the current state of the economy, we anticipate the need for shoes to only increase,” said Eli Pine, co-owner of Hope House.

In order to provide new shoes to Boundary County children, Hope House is asking individuals and local businesses for help in purchasing shoes.

“Every little bit counts, and any amount you can give would be greatly appreciated. Let's work together to ensure that every child has the opportunity to start the school year on the right foot,” Pine said.

The Back to School Bash is scheduled for Aug. 26 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Boundary County Fairgrounds, including bounce houses and a barbecue.
