Anderson off to Nationals for 4-H Horse Program
Myia Anderson, a Boundary County 4-H Horse Program member, is off to the 4-H national competition for public speaking.
Every year, the 4-H program holds the Boundary County Public Speaking/Demonstration Contest for the youth in 4-H.
In April, Myia gave a speech titled, “The Mind of the Horse and Rider”. She won at the county level and went on to the state contest, which was held in July in Twin Falls. She again won with the speech.
Myia will now go on to the national contest, which is being held in Louisville, Ky., on Nov. 4. Boundary County 4-H officials said they and the community are rooting for her.
Myia got her first horse, Sunshine, in 2011. She plans on helping with the 4-H Horse program next year.
“She will be a great example for the youth to look up to,” 4-H leader Sharon Comer said. “We wish you the best at nationals and congratulations on all your success already.”
