Dennis Ray Cooper, 71

Dennis Ray Cooper, formerly of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, died Oct. 12, 2023, in St. David, Ariz., at his home with his wife Luz Paez and a hospice nurse with him.

Dennis was born March 16, 1952, at Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry, the son of Melvin and Ruth Eileen Cooper.

Dennis graduated from the eighth grade and senior at Bonners Ferry High School. Dennis was a casino dealer on the Princess Cruise Lines for seven years, traveling all over the world. He quit when he married Luz and they moved to Las Vegas and he took a job as a casino dealer and teacher. He retired at the age of 63. 

He is survived by his wife, Luz; a daughter, Heather; and his mother, Ruth Eileen Cooper. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin; a brother, Steven; and a sister, Carol Cooper Steffens. 

There will be no services.
