Homecoming fun on tap this week
BONNERS FERRY — It’s time to cheer the Badgers on as Bonners Ferry High School celebrates homecoming.
Thursday, Oct. 12 is “Class Color Day” with freshman assigned white, sophomores gray, juniors blue and seniors black. During assembly, Badger Olympics will be held with students and staff competing for honors. From 4:30-8 p.m., students will be working on their floats at the fairgrounds.
On Friday, it’s Badger Spirit Day. At 10 a.m., the students’ floats will be judged, followed by the parade roll call and lineup at 11 a.m. The parade begins at noon and the community is invited to attend and cheer on the Badgers.
At 12:30 p.m., there will be a tailgate party at Mountain West Bank; followed by the powderpuff football game from 1-3 p.m. At 7 p.m., the Badgers will take on the Orofino Maniacs at home.
Following the game, the BFHS FFA Club will be hosting a bonfire.
On Saturday, Oct. 14, the BFHS homecoming dance will begin at 8:30 p.m. at the Great Northwest Territories Event Center in Naples. Tickets must be purchased at the school beforehand and will not be sold at the door.
