Novinger Music and BFCO concert on Sunday

| October 19, 2023 1:00 AM

BONNERS FERRY — Novinger Music Center, in collaboration with some members of the Bonners Ferry Community Orchestra, will present an exciting concert this coming Sunday at 2 p.m., exclusively featuring music by Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809), Classical-Era composer.

Eleven NMC students — ranging in age from 9 to 18 — will perform Haydn's music on the piano, violin, and flute. Students include Dakyn and Kaelan Robbins, Savyn Sheikh, Brynlee and Andelynn Zimmerman, Olivia Brown, Riddick Burke, Zemira Elsberry, Wyatt Marino, Carolina and Susanna Love.

The following BFCO members will perform solos or small ensembles: Rhianna Wright (flute and harp), Janet Peterson (violin), Marcia Lydiard (cello), Amanda Elsberry (cello), and Sebastian Holman (piano). Jeff Hunsaker will provide piano accompaniment for Rhianna's flute solo.

Glenda Novinger, NMC owner/instructor and BFCO director, will be spearheading this concert, as well as performing a Haydn piano solo.

Her vision for this concert is to share interesting anecdotes about Haydn's life, historical significance, and musical style so concert-goers leave the performance educated as well as inspired! We look forward to seeing you at BFHS Becker Auditorium this Sunday at 2 p.m.
